It describe how you should build your API and design your Application which relays on Internet. REST or RESTful-style includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Uniform Interface<\/li>\n<li>Stateless<\/li>\n<li>Cacheable<\/li>\n<li>Client-Server<\/li>\n<li>Layered System<\/li>\n<li>Code on Demand (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Although most REST APIs are used for CRUD operations, they are certainly designed to do more than that.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GET\u00a0<\/strong>Read<\/p>\n<p><strong>POST\u00a0<\/strong>Create<\/p>\n<p><strong>PUT\u00a0<\/strong>Update\/Replace<\/p>\n<p><strong>PATCH\u00a0<\/strong>Update\/Modify<\/p>\n<p><strong>DELETE\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Delete<\/p>\n<p>Idempotent Means doing a process multiple times will have the same result. POST is not\u00a0idempotent.\u00a0Post a data multiple times will likely result in multiple data entries on the server side, while since PUT updates a data, running it multiple times would still result in the same data.
